Through the development of several schematic designs an overall master plan was developed for this very difficult site. The site, which sits in the hillsides of Chappaqua, New York, was very limited in the amount of usable space due to the sharp-sloped property. A series of delicately placed landscape walls and stairs helped create a useful spaces and logical connections from the house, the new open lawn and the lower playground.
Along with a new entry gates, cobblestone apron and cobblestone curbing the entire site was enhanced with site lighting, irrigation, a complete naturalistic planting plan and new playground equipment. Future plans for an octagon deck are in the planning and should be completed in 2003.
